ABOUT THE SLP

Owner of Joy Speech and Language therapy, Madison Watson is an ASHA-certified and New Jersey Licensed speech-language pathologist. Madison has experience working in private practice, school based, rehabilitation, tele-therapy, and home-based settings for both pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. She is experienced in areas such as early intervention services, early language development, receptive and expressive language delays, speech sound disorders, fluency, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), cognition, executive functions, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).  

Madison has a passion for providing therapy that is unique to each individual client utilizing diverse therapeutic strategies. She believes in building rapport with her clients as well as their caregivers to strengthen the outcome of therapy. She values the importance of evidence-based, collaborative, individualized, and engaging evaluation and treatment.

EDUCATION

Madison received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from Marywood University.

• Nationally certified member with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist, State of New Jersey 
• Certified Speech and Language Specialist, State of New Jersey Department of Education
